Efficient, precise, and flexible. The PITTLER SkiveLine sets new standards in gear manufacturing. Thanks to the combination of a multifunction head, Y-axis, and automatic tool change, it enables complete machining of workpieces in a single setup. This means shorter setup times, greater process reliability, and a significant increase in productivity.
With its modular design, the SkiveLine adapts perfectly to your production requirements:
- All-in-one machining – gear skiving, turning, milling, drilling, and deburring in a single operation.
- Optimized process times – automatic tool change for fast and smooth workflows.
- Custom automation solutions – flexible integration of manual loading, swing loaders, or robotic systems.
- Space-saving design – compact design for efficient use of production space.
The PITTLER SkiveLine combines precision, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness in an innovative machine solution for maximum efficiency and quality in modern manufacturing.
Highlights
Complete 6-axis machining:Internal and external gear skiving, turning, milling, drilling, deburring, chamfering, backing-off, and measuring in a single machine for maximum efficiency.
Flexible automation options: Choice of crane or manual loading, robot integration, or shuttle loading for seamless production.
Fast tool changes for reduced non-productive times:A 16-position disc magazine enables automated tool changes in just 12 seconds.
Perfect process integration with paired machines:Two SkiveLine machines work together seamlessly, enabling efficient downstream machining without additional reclamping.
Maximum precision through machining in a single setup: Reduces reclamping errors and ensures the highest dimensional accuracy in gear machining.
Space-saving and ergonomic design:Compact machine design with a large safety window for optimal operator protection and easy monitoring of the production process.
Versatile cooling options for optimal chip evacuation:Emulsion, oil, compressed air, or combined systems for extended tool life and improved component quality.
Industry 4.0-ready for smart manufacturing processes:Integrated sensors and digital interfaces enable predictive maintenance and efficient production control.

Application examples
It machines gears from module 0.3 to module 10 – depending on machine size and configuration.
The multifunction head enables the use of additional technologies such as gear machining, grinding, turning, drilling, milling, chamfering, backing-off and measuring. This allows highly flexible complete machining and high precision, even for complex workpieces.
Yes. For most workpieces, the SkiveLine enables internal and external gear machining in a single setup – for high quality and shorter lead times.
From manual or crane loading to swivel loaders with workpiece shuttle, robotic loading and zero-point clamping systems.
With its wide work area door, upward-opening crane access and side loading door for automation systems, the SkiveLine is particularly easy to load.
The SkiveLine is available with a 16-position disc magazine as a near-standard configuration; larger versions can accommodate up to 150 tools.
In general, all PITTLER machines are equipped with the latest version of SIEMENS SINUMERIK ONE.
Optionally, the SkiveLine can be equipped with the original PITTLER SKIVING software, which simplifies gear programming. It also enables easy gear corrections and free input of cutting data. This significantly simplifies programming directly at the machine. Thanks to automatic data calculation, programming errors are reduced.
To ensure consistent component quality, PITTLER measuring and inspection software is also available.
