Modern manufacturing processes require shorter cycle times, high precision and maximum efficiency. The PITTLER PVSL combines two fully equipped machining areas with a central automation zone in a single machine. This eliminates the need for separate machines for machining both sides of the workpiece – reducing setup times, optimizing workflows and increasing productivity.
Thanks to its well-designed machine concept, the PVSL offers decisive advantages:
- Simultaneous machining of both workpiece sides – two machining areas enable parallel or sequential processes for shortest possible cycle times.
- Optimized material flow – pick-up loading system and central automation ensure smooth workpiece handling.
- Expandable automation – external robotic cells and flexible loading options adapt to individual production requirements.
- Space-saving design – a compact solution that replaces two machines and saves valuable production space.
With the PITTLER PVSL, you optimize your production processes, reduce costs and benefit from a powerful, automated and future-proof manufacturing solution.

Two working areas for parallel complete machining: The PITTLER PVSL enables simultaneous or sequential machining of both workpiece sides in two working areas – ensuring high productivity and efficient process flows.
Pick-up automation for short non-productive times: The integrated pick-up loading system enables fast workpiece changes and supports automated machining processes for productive series production.
Flexible and autonomous workpiece automation: Rear workpiece feeding, buffer storage, and automatic part separation enable largely autonomous production and can be flexibly extended with external robotic cells.
High productivity in a compact footprint: Two working areas within one compact machine concept reduce floor space requirements, optimize material flow, and enable cost-effective series production.

Application examples
Depending on the configuration, the PVSL supports turning, drilling and milling. This makes it suitable for flexible, complete machining of a wide variety of workpieces.
The two machining areas enable parallel or sequential machining of both workpiece sides. This reduces cycle times, optimizes the process and increases productivity.
Since the "SL" in "PVSL" stands for selv-loader, a wide range of automation options is available. Automation can be implemented using conveyor belts, roller conveyors, pallet storage systems, gantries or robots.
On the PVSL N1 2-2, workpieces are fed from the side; on the PVSL 3 2-2 and PVSL 450/XL, they are fed from the rear of the machine. This makes integration into automated production lines easier. The pick-up area is always located outside the machining area, allowing versatile component feeding. In two-spindle machine configurations, the loading and unloading area is always positioned centrally between the two machining areas. This means that workpieces are usually fed in and out via shuttle automation systems.
Yes. The PVSL is specifically designed for short cycle times, high precision and automated series production processes. Its machine concept significantly reduces lead times. Thanks to self-loading of the workpieces and fast tool changes via the turrets, non-productive times are minimized and main machining time is optimized.
Depending on the application, an NC lift-off holder, a multi-spindle drilling head or a second turret for 4-axis driven tools can be integrated, among others. This increases flexibility for complex machining tasks.
Because the self-loading function enables automation to be implemented at significantly lower cost.
In general, all PITTLER machines are equipped with the latest version of SIEMENS SINUMERIK ONE.
