General information

The following information provides a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data that can be used to identify you personally. Detailed information on the subject of data protection can be found in our privacy policy listed below this text.

Data collection on this website

Who is responsible for the data collection on this website?

Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. The contact details and the respective data protection officer for the individual companies can be found above the provisions.

How do we collect your information?

On the one hand, your data is collected when you provide it to us. This can be, for example, data that you enter into a contact form. Other data is collected automatically or with your consent when you visit the website by our IT systems. This is mainly technical data (e.g. Internet browser, operating system or time of page access). The collection of this data takes place automatically as soon as you enter this website.

What do we use your data for?

Part of the data is collected to ensure that the website is provided without errors. Other data may be used to analyze your user behavior. If contracts can be concluded or initiated via the website, the transmitted data will also be processed for contract offers, orders or other order requests.

What rights do you have regarding your data?

You have the right to receive information about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data at any time, free of charge. You also have the right to request the correction or deletion of this data. If you have given consent to data processing, you can revoke this consent at any time for the future. You also have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

You can contact us at any time for this and other questions on the subject of data protection.

Analytics and third-party tools

When you visit this website, your surfing behaviour can be statistically evaluated. This is mainly done with so-called analysis programs. Detailed information about these analysis programs can be found in the following privacy policy.

2. Hosting

We use the following providers to host the content of our website:

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

The provider is Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, 38 Avenue John F. Kennedy, 1855 Luxembourg (hereinafter referred to as AWS).

When you visit our website, your personal data is processed on AWS's servers. Personal data may also be transferred to AWS's parent company in the USA. Data transfer to the USA is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Details can be found here: https://aws.amazon.com/de/blogs/security/aws-gdpr-data-processing-addendum/.

For more information, please see the AWS Privacy Policy: https://aws.amazon.com/de/privacy/?nc1=f_pr.

The use of AWS is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in presenting our website as reliably as possible. If a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information in the user's end device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. The consent can be revoked at any time.

The company is certified according to the "EU-US Data Privacy Framework" (DPF). The DPF is an agreement between the European Union and the USA that is intended to ensure compliance with European data protection standards for data processing in the USA. Every company certified according to the DPF is committed to complying with these data protection standards. Further information on this can be obtained from the provider under the following link: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/participant/5776.

Order processing

We have concluded a contract processing agreement (DPA) for the use of the above-mentioned service. This is a contract required by data protection law that ensures that it processes the personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

Cookies

Our websites use so-called "cookies". Cookies are small data packets and do not cause any damage to your device. They are stored on your device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (persistent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or until your web browser automatically deletes them.

Cookies have different functions. Many cookies are technically necessary because certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies may be used to evaluate user behavior or for advertising purposes.

Cookies that are necessary to carry out the electronic communication process, to provide certain functions that you have requested (e.g. for the shopping cart function) or to optimise the website (e.g. cookies to measure the web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The data collected in this way will be stored until you ask us to delete it, delete the cookiebot cookie yourself or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Mandatory statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.

Cookiebot is used to obtain the legally required consents for the use of cookies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to the storage or the purpose for which the data is stored no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been processed). Enquiry by e-mail, telephone or fax

If you contact us by e-mail, telephone or fax, your enquiry, including all personal data resulting from it (name, enquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

8. Own services

Handling of applicant data

We offer you the opportunity to apply to us (e.g. by e-mail, post or via the online application form). In the following, we inform you about the scope, purpose and use of your personal data collected as part of the application process. We assure you that the collection, processing and use of your data will be carried out in accordance with applicable data protection law and all other legal provisions and that your data will be treated in the strictest confidence.

Scope and purpose of data collection

If you send us an application, we will process your associated personal data (e.g. contact and communication data, application documents, notes in the context of job interviews, etc.) insofar as this is necessary to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is § 26 BDSG under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (general contract initiation) and – if you have given consent – Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. The consent can be revoked at any time. Your personal data will only be passed on within our company to persons who are involved in processing your application.

If the application is successful, the data you submit will be stored in our data processing systems on the basis of Section 26 of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and Article 6 (1) (b) of the GDPR for the purpose of carrying out the employment relationship.

Data retention period

If we are unable to make you a job offer, you reject a job offer or withdraw your application, we reserve the right to store the data you provide on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) for up to six months from the end of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of the application). The data will then be deleted and the physical application documents destroyed. The storage serves in particular for the purpose of providing evidence in the event of a legal dispute. If it is evident that the data will be required after the expiry of the six-month period (e.g. due to an imminent or pending legal dispute), deletion will only take place if the purpose for further storage no longer applies.

Longer storage may also take place if you have given your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) or if statutory retention obligations preclude deletion.

Inclusion in the applicant pool

If we do not make you a job offer, there may be the possibility of including you in our applicant pool. In the event of admission, all documents and information from the application will be transferred to the applicant pool in order to contact you in the event of suitable vacancies.

Admission to the applicant pool is based exclusively on your explicit consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). The submission of consent is voluntary and has no relation to the ongoing application process. The data subject can revoke his consent at any time. In this case, the data will be irrevocably deleted from the applicant pool, unless there are legal retention reasons.

The data from the applicant pool will be irrevocably deleted no later than two years after consent has been granted.

For the upload of applicant data, we use a specially set up upload function.

DVS Connect

Purpose of processing and type of personal data

We offer you the opportunity to participate in our own CRM system – DVS Connect. In doing so, we process and store personal data of business partners in the course of processing incoming ticket enquiries. We also store your user data (surname, first name, e-mail address, telephone number, employer), which you have provided to us in DVS Connect in order to enable further contact in the context of processing your request and its documentation. In addition, we may process your personal data in the context of sales activities.

Due to our customer relationship, we process your personal data for the purpose of performing the contract and for the implementation of pre- and post-contractual measures.

The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

We manage your employer and thus also you as an existing customer, insofar as your employer has concluded a contract with us. Your data may also be processed in order to identify potential for improvement in relation to our products and services.

You can object to the processing of your personal data for this purpose at any time. To do this, simply send your cancellation to the contact options mentioned above.

The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Furthermore, we are subject to various legal obligations according to which we must process your data. These include, among other things, tax regulations that oblige us to store your personal data.

The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c) GDPR

Origin of the data

We collect the personal data directly from you if you provide it to us on the basis of a contract initiation, a contractual relationship or personal contact, e.g. at trade fairs.

Recipients

We only transmit your personal data to third parties if we are legally obliged to do so, if this is necessary for the fulfilment of an existing contractual obligation with you, to service providers with whom there is order processing in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR or if they have consented.

We may also transmit your personal data to companies in our group of companies if this is necessary to process your request. However, personal data is not transferred without a legal basis.

If your personal data is transferred to a third country within the meaning of the GDPR, this will take place in compliance with the regulations prescribed in Chapter V GDPR.

Duration of storage

Your personal data will only be stored as long as knowledge of the data is necessary for the purposes of the customer relationship or the purposes for which it was collected or as long as statutory or contractual retention regulations exist.

9. Audio and video conferencing

Data processing

For communication with our customers, we use online conference tools, among other things. The specific tools we use are listed below. If you communicate with us via video or audio conference via the Internet, your personal data will be collected and processed by us and the provider of the respective conference tool.

The conference tools collect all data that you provide/use to use the tools (e-mail address and/or your telephone number). In addition, the conference tools process the duration of the conference, the start and end (time) of participation in the conference, the number of participants and other "contextual information" related to the communication process (metadata).

Furthermore, the provider of the tool processes all technical data required to handle online communication. This includes, but is not limited to, IP addresses, MAC addresses, device IDs, device type, operating system type and version, client version, camera type, microphone or speakers, and the type of connection.

If content is exchanged, uploaded or otherwise made available within the tool, this is also stored on the servers of the tool providers. Such content includes, but is not limited to, cloud recordings, chat/instant messages, voicemails, photos and videos uploaded to voicemails, files, whiteboards, and other information shared while using the Service.

Please note that we do not fully influence the data processing processes of the tools used. Our options are largely based on the corporate policy of the respective provider. Further information on data processing by the conference tools can be found in the privacy policies of the respective tools used, which we have listed below this text.

Purpose and legal basis

The conference tools are used to communicate with prospective or existing contractual partners or to offer certain services to our customers (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR). Furthermore, the use of the tools serves to generally simplify and accelerate communication with us or our company (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). If consent has been requested, the use of the tools in question is based on this consent; consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.

Storage period

The data collected directly by us via the video and conference tools will be deleted from our systems as soon as you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to its storage or the purpose for which it was stored no longer applies. Stored cookies remain on your device until you delete them. Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

We have no influence on the storage period of your data, which is stored by the operators of the conference tools for their own purposes. For details, please contact the operators of the conference tools directly.
