PAST, ...

... OCTOBER 26, 1911 - The plate used by the Greeks and Romans for throwing competition, the DISKUS (from Greek δίσκος "plate“, "disc) provided the name for our newly founded company. The discus thrower of Myron became a registered trademark, symbolizing the dynamics and force of continuous competition. Carl Krug's idea was to specialize in the process of surface grinding within the field of grinding technology and to focus especially on the problems of this technology and its applications, therefore: Surface grinding and grinding machine construction. This resulted in development of the double side surface grinding machine and our slogan:

»DISKUS, THE ORIGINAL FOR SIDE SURFACE GRINDING«
