The positioning of components is critical for robot applications. In reality, the parameters are shifting constantly due to the different sizes, geometries, manufacturing tolerances, and surface characteristics. The robot system must be capable of autonomously adapting to these variables. Only then can the system be considered intelligent and reliable.

The technologies that we are presenting here make our FX series modules exactly the intelligent systems that you need for your requirements.

Vision 2D

Proven and economical solutions for easy recognition of object position in two-dimensional space and for reading of labels.
Vision 2,5D

Enhanced 2D method for two-dimensional space with the additional height recognition option.
Vision 3D, cartesian

The components are somewhat orderly and mostly upright in the containers. This is where our robust and proven 3D recognition system is used.
Vision 3D, random

Identifying randomly arranged components in a container is the most challenging aspect of parts recognition. This uses automated track planning for up to seven robot axes. The container wall is also part of the equation in order to prevent collisions.
